Andrew Walker

BSc (Hons) MRICS

Managing Director

Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor and has over 25 years' experience ​in the property sector. He has worked at strategic property level for many years supporting asset managers, p​roperty owners and occupiers to develop the right approach for maintaining and operating their portfolio. 

His career began with Povall Worthington and having later become Head of Building Consultancy at GVA Grimley (Leeds), Andrew is one of the founding directors of WH Property & Engineering Consultants and Eco FM Ltd.

As a Chartered Surveyor and Project Manager, he has worked in a wide range of property sectors from commercial property, education, retail, residential and leisure. His combined technical abilities of project management, building surveying and service charge management provides clients and Eco with invaluable practical advice. 

Andrew is still very involved with the day to day operation of our client's portfolios and is constantly looking at new technology and skills within our industries to deliver quality value for money property advice to our loyal customer base.

Derek Holding

MBIFM

Finance Director

As Eco’s Finance Director, Derek oversees all aspects of finance and clients’ property budgets and implementation. He’s an expert in the ‘Operational Environment’ and takes the lead on all mechanical and electrical consultancy advice for our clients and within the company.

Derek brings a wealth of knowledge on running large-scale retail developments as well as experience working for national maintenance and design contractors. 

He founded WH Consultancy with Andrew Walker in 2003, and still takes a hands-on approach for the delivery of our services from beginning to end.

Robin Harris

BSc (Hons)

Client Services Director

Robin has over 12 years of experience in property management and brings skills from national property helpdesks and direct facilities management of multiple sites from large national contracts including Carillion, HSBC, Centrica, AXA and Nationwide Building Society.

At Eco, Robin is responsible for the systems that provide the foundation of the solutions that Eco deliver. Robin has been influential in the development of Eco's Helpdesk service and has led its development over the last four years, ensuring that it can be provided as a standalone service to any sized property portfolio.

Robin drives customer service across the company while keeping in mind that the customer is key. He steers business development at Eco and is constantly looking at new ways to promote Eco’s successful delivery.

David Gajda

National Operations Director Manager

David’s 15 years as a facilities manager and extensive knowledge of operations management means that he is a dedicated, professional and highly-experienced National Operations Director. 

He leads a national team of facilities managers and strives to provide the highest standard of service across all areas of Eco's operations. 

David manages the implementation of planned and reactive maintenance works, heads Eco's procurement division and continues to drive ‘best value’ for our clients and the company.


The company was originally founded in 2003 as WH Property & Engineering Consultants providing support to the commercial property sector. The original directors Andrew and Derek have developed and expanded the range of services to meet customer requirements and evolved through Eco FM Ltd to Eco IPS whilst remaining true to the original philosophy of a proactive and personal service.

What’s more, with a combined 50 years of experience between them, their knowledge and expertise is second to none. Eco has a national team of experts headed by the senior leadership team.

2003
  • WH Property & Engineering Consultants formed by Derek Holding and Andrew Walker.
  • Facilities management support for Frenchgate Shopping Centre, the UK’s largest shopping centre development of its time.
  • WH build a loyal client base and provide specialist consultancy services in facilities management, surveying and engineering.

2008
  • Eco Facilities Management ‘Professional Facilities Management with the Investment in Mind’ formed by Derek Holding and Andrew Walker.
  • Eco FM wins the contract to provide facilities management services to Scarborough Group International Ltd for a portfolio worth £250M and 1.4 M sq ft.

2010
  • Eco FM launches cloud-based Documentation Management System (DMS).

2011
  • New headquarter offices refurbished and Helpdesk services launched.
  • Eco FM awarded facilities management contract for 1 Kingsway London – a new prestigious office development by UK & European.

2012
  • Robin Harris joins the group to lead Helpdesk services.
  • Eco FM integrates site inspections with cloud-based DMS systems.
  • Eco FM awarded facilities management contract for the Thorpe Park Development by Scarborough Group International Ltd.
  • Eco FM and GBRPB retains and is awarded joint contract for facilities management and management service for Scarborough Group International Ltd.
  • Eco FM awarded Fiveways Leisure Complex on behalf of UK & European.
  • Eco FM secures Cabot House Bristol - the most sustainable mixed-use development at the time.
  • Eco FM awarded Temple Back in Bristol on behalf of UK & European.

2015
  • Cloud-based purchasing portal launched.
  • National procurement and FM support services secured for Abbeyfield.
  • Helpdesk services secured for Care UK
  • Eco secures facilities management and helpdesk services for ERS Medical.

2016

  • FM and Helpdesk services secured for Lifeways and Living Ambitions.
  • David Gajda joins as National Operations Director.
  • New Scotland hub opens in Stirling.
  • Eco FM and Savills awarded a joint bid contract for FM and management services for UK & European Group.
