Consultation Services

What type of consultation services do Eco provide?

Eco Consult can provide advice on a wide range of property-related matters, from electrical and mechanical engineering, major works programming, services, waste management, energy management, service charge budgets, and so much more. 

Can I use your consultation services without using Eco as my facilities manager?

Yes, you can bring us in at any stage and for any length of time, whether it’s a one-off consultation and report, or you would like a longer-term relationship with us. 

How can I be sure that your specialists and consultants can help?

All of our specialists and consultants come highly experienced and with all the accreditation and certification. You will be assigned a dedicated consultant or specialist for your project throughout its entire cycle, so you only have one main point of contact for everything. 

What’s more, you can always ring the Helpdesk during out of hours or for an update.

I need a Technical Advisor for a construction project, can you help?

Yes, we can fulfil this role for you. Our experience and knowledge of the industry means that you can rest assured that your position will be protected with the right contract terms.

Dilapidations

I am a tenant, can Eco Consult help me understand my rights and obligations?

Yes, we can advise both tenants and landlords in terms of their rights and obligations at the end of a lease.

Can you help me prepare and defend my claim?

Yes, we start by reviewing all legal documentation and prepare a Schedule of Dilapidations and then help you to defend and negotiate the terms. We will advise you every step of the way.

Project Management

What type of projects do Eco Consult get involved with?

Most types of construction, refurbishment, decoration, and change of use jobs.

How do Eco Consult help?

You will be assigned a project manager who will be with you throughout the duration of the project. They will be the key point of contact for liaising with contractors, the local authority, tenants, the landlord and any other key contact. They will take care of all the processes and milestones of the project.

What sort of processes do you take care of?

Anything from establishing the project objectives, right through to advising on Construction Design & Management regulations (CDM), preparing and submitting forms or information to the local authority, quality and design control, and monitoring the overall progress. 

We can even prepare architectural drawings should you need them.

At what stage do Eco need to be involved?

Ideally we would be involved from the very beginning to make sure that the project runs as smoothly as possible and you comply with your obligations under CDM, however, we are happy to get involved at any stage.

Facilities Management

Can Eco work with our existing facilities and management teams

Yes, we regularly work alongside in-house or other external teams to provide ad-hoc support or just ‘plug the gaps’ expertise within your organisation.

Can Eco take over from an existing facilities manager?

Yes, we will take care of the handover and ensure the process is as seamless as possible for all involved parties. 

What’s the advantage of using Eco?

Your building or site will be assigned a regional facilities manager who will establish a strategy for how best to maintain and programme scheduled works. They will be your sole point of contact, and you can also use the Helpdesk service to check on updates, general enquiries and report any issues. 

All facilities managers are highly trained and we only use pre-approved contractors who meet their standards to ensure quality of service.

We take care of maintenance, security, major works, cleaning, waste management, energy management, and all compliance and health and safety documentation, all of which can be accessed through Asyst 365.

Are there any geographical regions or areas that Eco don’t work in?

No, we manage buildings in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

System & Helpdesk

Is Helpdesk a call centre?

No. It’s a support line with staff trained in dealing with property related matters that also manages and monitors projects, contractors and maintenance with the help of CAFM and Asyst 365.

Is it really 24/7?

Yes, lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We promise that calls will always be dealt with. 

Can I just use the Helpdesk service?

Yes, Helpdesk can be contracted by you as a standalone service.

Can I get a personalised greeting for incoming calls?

Yes, all calls for your business can have a personalised greeting.

CAFM

What is CAFM?

CAFM stands for Computer Aided Facilities Management, and it’s a system that allows Helpdesk to monitor and manage all projects, contractors and maintenance jobs for FM and Consult. 

How can it benefit me?

The system records all conversations, emails, documents, and phone calls for a comprehensive track record of every project. 

What exactly does it do?

The system notifies Helpdesk operators when key milestones are being reached so that they can take action and call a contractor for an update or sign-off a completed maintenance job, for example.

Asyst 365

What is Asyst 365?

It’s an online document storage server. 

Who has access to it?

The client, contractor and building manager or project manager all have access so that all compliance documentation and health and safety records are held in one secure space.

When can I access it?

It’s accessible from any device, anywhere and anytime.
